Ana Maria Schnier is a welcome addition to JVM’s administrative team, bringing with her an extensive background in customer service. Whether she was advising her interior design clients, assisting the attorneys where she worked as a paralegal or filling orders for school gear as a parent volunteer, Ana Maria’s goal is to always deliver helpful, kind, and caring service.
Ana Maria attended UC Berkeley where she studied U.S. History and went on to work for a law firm for a number of years (where she ultimately met her husband). Ana Maria eventually returned to school to earn a BFA in Interior Design and went on to build a successful interior design career for herself; becoming one of the first designers in California to receive the designation of “Certified Interior Designer.”
Ana Maria’s roots are in the San Francisco Bay Area, having been born in Alameda to Portuguese immigrant parents. When Ana Maria is not tending to her most fulfilling job – parenting four college-aged young adults – she is dedicated to spreading awareness of the needs and capabilities of those with intellectual disabilities. She is devoted to keeping fit, engaging in various creative pursuits, being well-read, and rooting for her beloved San Francisco Giants. Her newest passions are upcycling found treasures and working toward her next belt in Aikijujitsu.
