I believe that being a part of the JVM team is an experience that could not have been matched by any other employment opportunity. When accepting my offer with JVM 5 years ago, I became a part of the JVM family. It is unusual to find a Company where every person in the company, from the owner to the newest employee, all truly care about you and value your contribution. All my teammates at JVM are a wonderful support system both inside and outside of the office. Aside from the teammates and culture at JVM, the work is also challenging and interesting. JVM has helped me develop a passion for the mortgage industry. Through the company’s extensive training and support, I have cultivated a rewarding and thriving career. Every day at work is a challenge, and the growth and learning opportunities never end. The support system and engaging work, coupled with the excitement of assisting clients find their dream home, make coming to work fun. I am proud to be able to say I am a part of such a renowned team and that I literally helped build a company that is unmatched in the industry.
Working at JVM is a true pleasure. From day one, I have been treated with respect and kindness by coworkers and management. The camaraderie within the JVM Team has proven to be an essential part of our success and provides a safe work environment for all employees to make tough decisions. The job itself is challenging yet so engaging! Every day I employ different skills I have gained from my time at JVM, from conducting an analysis on a client’s financial portfolio to providing exceptional customer service. No two files are the same so it really keeps the creative juices flowing!
JVM sets itself apart from all other mortgage companies and has truly made a name for itself. Knowing that I am part of a team that is helping to grow the company really excites me!
I’ve never learned more working for any other company than I have with JVM Lending. It is fast-paced, ever-changing, and just plain interesting. While other jobs or positions tend to lean towards the monotonous side after a few years, that is not the case at JVM. Each day brings something new and challenging, and it’s that which makes working for JVM so rewarding. Since a high priority within the company is placed on teamwork and overall cohesiveness, coming into work each day is something that is never dreaded because ultimately, you are coming in to work with your friends.
“Working at JVM Lending is not a normal 9-5 office job. I am continuously challenged to solve new problems & keep up with the ever changing mortgage industry. Every day that I walk into the office I am faced with something new or unexpected, which sounds alarming until you consider JVM’s amazing support system & training resources. Our Kudos Contest
We have a Kudos Contest at JVM that is both great for morale and reinforcing the values we hold dear. Every team member has three “Kudos” to give out every quarter. Team members email the entire office with the name of their Kudos recipient along with the reasons why the recipient deserves the Kudos. Whichever team member gets the most Kudos at the end of the quarter gets a $200 cash prize. The Kudos are entertaining and fun to read. We have samples below.
In Taiwan, today is Teacher’s Day because September 28th is Confucius’s birthday.

I would like to give Erin my last Kudos for this quarter.
Erin’s 5th year anniversary is coming up next month.
Erin has held every position at JVM including sales. Most of you do not know this, and Erin went out in the field to solicit business from realtors in 2012 for few months. Why? Because we asked Erin to.
Erin will do anything we ask her to. She will give her 100% at every task and any position we give her. She will study the position and take careful notes and share her feedback with us.
As Tiffany’s Kudos to Erin mentioned how amazingly Erin transitioned into processing from pre-approval, Erin makes JVM a stronger team, a well-rounded team, and make our foundation stronger.
Erin is really a “doer” and a great example for our newer team members!

I had borrowers stop by unexpectedly to sign their loan disclosures this afternoon. Without hesitation, Nicholas contacted me to send over the packet and he met with the borrowers himself 🙂

My third kudos goes to Beau!
Just last week a new realtor reached out asking us to review an appraisal report on one of his colleague’s deals that was blowing up. I asked Beau if he could review the report and without hesitation he stepped in showing me what to look for and why things were going wrong.
Sending his quick analysis to the two new realtors made us look great. Although we ultimately couldn’t pull off the deal for them, our service levels and expertise shined and they were impressed. As Appraisal Desk Manager Beau gives us another marketing weapon and value proposition realtors really respond to!
My second kudos goes to Jenna 🙂
Also, overdue—I meant to send this out last Tuesday.
The pre-approval team could not have made it through Monday or Tuesday of last week without Jenna.
We almost could not keep up with her requests to help. Her speed, efficiency, expertise and willingness were the biggest gift.
Jenna, thanks for always being willing to step in and help, in addition to everything you have to handle on your own desk!
I am giving a KUDOS to Lindsey!
Thank you, Lindsey, for the countless hours of training you have done with me since I started at JVM. There has been a LOT of ground to cover from close outs to finance flyers and Lindsey has been there for me every step of the way, offering insight and sometimes even emotional support! Lindsey explains everything clearly and remains very patient with my many, many questions. I greatly appreciate the time and energy Lindsey has dedicated to my training to help me learn the ropes around JVM. Also, I think she is cool for liking cats and playing dodgeball 🙂

Meg has been a huge support on all of my processing questions and always goes above and beyond to research the trickier issues.
She has also been an incredible help to the pre-approval team as a whole. When Diandra was on a much-deserved vacation, Meg was here with us every night helping stack files, create purchase scenarios, write needs lists, and more. It was a true team effort and we couldn’t have made it through without Meg!

Kudos to Denis for always stepping in to take Heidi’s place when she is at realtor meetings, in meetings, or simply bogged down. It’s hard to pull yourself out of a file and take a lead but he switches over seamlessly whenever it is required.

We are a small company but we are now growing quickly so there is ample opportunity for career advancement. Almost all of JVM’s employees start out as “Client Advisors” (known as “Mortgage Analysts” within JVM) because the extensive training for that position is necessary for many other positions. Once employees have mastery in the Mortgage Analyst position, they are encouraged to transition into other areas including Loan Processing, Marketing, Mortgage Banking, and Management.
