What Our Team Says About JVM
I believe that being a part of the JVM team is an experience that could not have been matched by any other employment opportunity. When accepting my offer with JVM 5 years ago, I became a part of the JVM family. It is unusual to find a Company where every person in the company, from the owner to the newest employee, all truly care about you and value your contribution. All my teammates at JVM are a wonderful support system both inside and outside of the office. Aside from the teammates and culture at JVM, the work is also challenging and interesting. JVM has helped me develop a passion for the mortgage industry. Through the company’s extensive training and support, I have cultivated a rewarding and thriving career. Every day at work is a challenge, and the growth and learning opportunities never end. The support system and engaging work, coupled with the excitement of assisting clients find their dream home, make coming to work fun. I am proud to be able to say I am a part of such a renowned team and that I literally helped build a company that is unmatched in the industry.
Working at JVM is a true pleasure. From day one, I have been treated with respect and kindness by coworkers and management. The camaraderie within the JVM Team has proven to be an essential part of our success and provides a safe work environment for all employees to make tough decisions. I feel lucky to have found a job/company with such a strong support system.
The job itself is challenging yet so engaging! Every day I employ different skills I have gained from my time at JVM, from conducting an analysis on a client’s financial portfolio to providing exceptional customer service. No two files are the same so it really keeps the creative juices flowing!
JVM sets itself apart from all other mortgage companies and has truly made a name for itself. Knowing that I am part of a team that is helping to grow the company really excites me!
Since graduating college twenty years ago, I have worked for some fantastic people, but I always wanted more. I found it with JVM Lending. The JVM culture is challenging, intellectually stimulating, rewarding and fun. But JVM provides something more for me. That feeling you get when you are driving home from work… that feeling of knowing you were part of something great that day and tomorrow you will also be part of something great. The JVM team is unlike any other. We are constantly learning, growing and discussing how we can be the best we can be. The supportive team atmosphere is motivating and meaningful. I don’t put my best efforts into my work because I have to. I work hard at JVM because I want to.
“Working at JVM Lending is not a normal 9-5 office job. I am continuously challenged to solve new problems & keep up with the ever changing mortgage industry. Every day that I walk into the office I am faced with something new or unexpected, which sounds alarming until you consider JVM’s amazing support system & training resources. I am always learning and this is what keeps the job from feeling monotonous. It’s incredibly rewarding to apply all of our knowledge to help clients get into their dream home, or even just to help them realize their financial goals.
I’ve never learned more working for any other company than I have with JVM Lending. It is fast-paced, ever-changing, and just plain interesting. While other jobs or positions tend to lean towards the monotonous side after a few years, that is not the case at JVM. Each day brings something new and challenging, and it’s that which makes working for JVM so rewarding. Since a high priority within the company is placed on teamwork and overall cohesiveness, coming into work each day is something that is never dreaded because ultimately, you are coming in to work with your friends.

Our Kudos Contest
We have a Kudos Contest at JVM that is both great for morale and reinforcing the values we hold dear. Every team member has three “Kudos” to give out every quarter. Team members email the entire office with the name of their Kudos recipient along with the reasons why the recipient deserves the Kudos. Whichever team member gets the most Kudos at the end of the quarter gets a $200 cash prize. The Kudos are entertaining and fun to read. We have samples below.
My first Kudos of the quarter goes to Denise for two reasons:
1. She did an awesome job taking a ton of leads over a 3-day weekend; and
2. She listened to conversations and studied the emails of others (and copied them beautifully) to make sure her responses were properly nuanced and most effective.
Listening to others, and reading the emails of others (and learning to communicate effectively) is a major part of training at JVM, and our illustrious trainer did an excellent job of training herself.
Well done Denise!
I would like to give my first KUDOS to Diandra.
This one really is a given for me. Diandra has been beyond helpful every day with my training and managing all of her own pre-approvals. It is amazing to me how much she can get done in a day.
Plus, hearing Diandra on the phone is just #goals.
THANK YOU DIANDRA!!!
My last kudos goes to Meg. She is an amazing processer and even though she is hella busy she is always willing to help, even when it requires to put in a lot of time! (looking at you, OSI update project.)
She is great and I love having her in my literal corner. Kudos, Meg!!
I want to give a Kudos to Darcy!
Foremost, because it’s so true what was said in State of JVM—I can’t imagine our office without her, and I’m thrilled that she’s part of the JVM family 🙂
Additionally, she is beyond pleasant to everyone who calls or comes into the office, regardless of their demeanor. She is friendly, funny and a wonderful first point of contact for our current and potential clients.
Thank you for all that you do, Darcy!
I lived to give my fist Kudos this quarter to Tiffany.
Tiffany is truly an amazing Office Manager. This is not something you don’t already know.
There are many things Tiffany does for Jay and I as an Executive Administrative on top of everything she does every day at JVM. It may seem on the exterior what Tiffany does for Jay and I on a personal level do not help out JVM as a team, and it DOES!
Tiffany allows me to truly MAXIMIZE my Schedule and to twice as much when I am in the office. She doesn’t allow me to miss beat. Tiffany helps me organize my life impeccably in order for me to attend evening realtor events to solicit more business for JVM, and she does this on top of her full plate. Often Tiffany helps me a lot on Saturdays. She is always willing to run home to a computer to help me solve tasks in hand.
Kudos to Tiffany!
Beau is becoming fluent in appraisals, but, more importantly, Beau is becoming fluent in how appraisals affect lending. This is no easy task, as he must juggle how to make demands of appraisers while also staying true to guidelines & compliance. Beau meets each challenge with curiosity, critical thinking and commitment. I can’t wait to see how much more Beau adds to the appraisal manager position as his time with JVM continues. 🙂
Nicholas’ job takes a lot of energy, tact, diligence, and drive. His hard work can also go unrecognized, because he is working largely outside of the office.
I have been able to see him in action quite a bit, and want to brag about him a little 🙂 Nicholas does a fantastic job connecting with realtors in the field—making sure each one feels important, heard, and informed. He is then somehow able to manage pitching in as an MA on the JVM team, selling refis, running events, and so much more.
It is a privilege getting to watch Nicholas grow in his position, and I can’t wait to see how he continues to do so.
Kudos to Madeline for being my go-to legal encyclopedia! This goes hand-in-hand with her willingness to answer questions and help me dig up an answer if she doesn’t know off the top of her head.
My first kudos goes out to Heidi!
Heidi is the glue that holds everything together and her work ethic is amazing!
Lindsey has done so much for JVM’s branding over the last few months.
Between her content, website updates, new logo, new signature blocks, new daily comment formatting, new newsletter formatting, (and the list goes on…) she has helped our branding keep up with current times!
It is easy for a lot of these small tweaks to go unnoticed, but all of these tweaks play a huge roll in our marketability.
We’ve Got Food
We understand how important food is for both morale and productivity.
We focus on four pillars when we hire.
Growth Opportunities and Mobility
We are a small company but we are now growing quickly so there is ample opportunity for career advancement. Almost all of JVM’s employees start out as “Client Advisors” (known as “Mortgage Analysts” within JVM) because the extensive training for that position is necessary for many other positions. Once employees have mastery in the Mortgage Analyst position, they are encouraged to transition into other areas including Loan Processing, Marketing, Mortgage Banking, and Management.
JVM Lending takes exceptional pride in offering one of the most generous benefits plans in the industry.
