The Need for “Systems,” Subbing, and Emyth – No Matter How Small

We recently had two extremely valuable employees out of the office at the same time. In most small businesses, this would bring things to a standstill. We, however, moved full speed ahead and didn’t miss a beat.

This is primarily b/c every aspect of our business is systematized down to the most minute detail. This is b/c when Heejin first came to JVM, she was appalled by how the entire business revolved around only me, and she literally made me read “Emyth.”

“Emyth” is all about the need to systematize every aspect of your business, no matter how small it is. People get overwhelmed by the thought of this, but it is not that hard.

“Systematizing” is absolutely necessary so owners can take true vacations (not “working” vacations) and so MVP employees can take vacations without business coming to halt.
