Emily Scioscia is one of JVM Lending’s talented Senior Mortgage Analysts. As a Senior Mortgage Analyst, Emily understands every aspect of the mortgage pre-approval process and expertly advises and guides clients through the homebuying and refinancing process. Emily reviews complex loan applications and supporting documentation to ensure clients are 100% qualified and comfortable with their desired price range. She provides clients with detailed closing cost scenarios and ultimately matches and pre-approves clients with their ideal mortgage product. Emily is also JVM’s “Product Czar,” an invaluable role for the Mortgage Analyst Team. As JVM’s Product Czar, Emily researches loan program guidelines and updates JVM’s product offerings to ensure that our team offers our clients the most competitive financing options. In addition to her duties as a Senior Mortgage Analyst, Emily has also taken a more hands-on role in training our new Mortgage Analysts. She works one-on-one to teach and mentor new analysts as they undergo JVM’s rigorous training program and manages the team’s daily pre-approval workload, ensuring that our analysts are at their most effective and efficient.
Prior to JVM, Emily worked extensively with local government agencies and nonprofit organizations. Focusing primarily on water utilities, she created an invaluable database for the State Revolving Fund criteria for eligible grant projects. Emily graduated Cum Laude from the University of California, Berkeley, where she earned her Bachelor’s in Political Economics. In addition, she earned the Cal Alumni Association Leadership Award in recognition of the many leadership positions she held while also balancing a particularly demanding course load. In her “free time,” Emily also held the Chairman position of her sorority’s Leadership Committee, where her primary role was appointing and training executive members for the sorority’s philanthropy board.
Emily grew up in San Diego, California, where she fell in love with the beach and developed a passion for ocean conservation. She enjoys camping, cheering on the San Diego Padres, and trying out new breakfast spots in her free time.
