Sarah Burgert is an essential part of JVM’s marketing department where she spearheads JVM’s agent-marketing team. Sarah’s extensive work experience and MFA in creative writing enable her to create unique, engaging and, most importantly, highly effective marketing materials.
Though she is a California native, Sarah is proud to say that she has now thrived on both coasts. As an undergraduate at Mount Holyoke College, she lived in Massachusetts where she completed her Bachelor of Arts degree in Literary and Visual Communications in just three years! A testament to her time management skills, Sarah also worked two jobs on campus and was a member of the college’s Varsity Rowing team. After college, Sarah made her way back to California and relocated to San Francisco to pursue graduate school for her MFA in Creative Writing. While in graduate school, Sarah held the esteemed position of General Editor and Fiction Editor at the graduate-run literary journal, Fourteen Hills.
Now finally out of school after 6 long years, Sarah spends her free time enjoying game nights with friends, assembling elaborate puzzles, and helping her dog Elliot pose for his famous Instagram account. (You can follow Elliot here: @elliotthebostonterrier). Sarah also enjoys camping, attempting to bake the perfect loaf of bread, and most things crafty, having referred to herself as a “Martha Stewart in training.”
