We stole the idea of the Kudos Contest from Google, and it has turned out to be one of the best morale builders ever.
Each team member gets “three Kudos” per quarter. The Kudos are sent to the entire office and they name an individual and something outstanding they did. The person with the most Kudos at the end of the quarter gets $200.
It is very fun to see all the wonderful compliments aired publicly for the entire office to see. I am sure it feels good for the recipients too. We highly recommend this practice for all teams. Below are just few “Kudos” from last week alone:
My second Kudos goes to Erin. Erin accepts every task/position thrown her way and runs with it! She has developed a vast amount of knowledge in the five years she’s been at JVM and has provided the groundwork for structuring the pre-approval team. Erin is patient, diligent and dedicated. She is killing it in processing which is no surprise! Thanks Erin :)
My last Kudos goes to Meg. She is an amazing processor and even though she is busy she is always willing to help, even when it requires to put in a lot of time! (looking at you, OSI update project.)
I’d like to give my second Kudos to Lindsey. It’s incredible to see all of the marketing material that Lindsey is able to produce not only for us but for many, many realtors as well. It’s amazing Lindsey has enough time in the day to complete all of her tasks and with such a high level of diligence and creativity! Kudos Lindsey!
I want to give my second Kudos to Denise. She is always available when I have questions and consistently goes above and beyond whenever she helps me. She is an amazing resource and I’m not sure what I would do without her – KUDOS Denise!!
My first Kudos this quarter goes to Dia! Dia is such an impressive MA. She is able to train, organize the pre-approval log, answering literally millions of questions from me, and handle a ridiculous amount of pre-approvals (like on Monday).
My last Kudos this quarter goes to Tiffany! Tiffany lives and breathes JVM, and is always available to step in whenever needed – even when she is on vacation (though that is mostly b/c of her FOMO). She is a great resource on just about everything, and she will always answer any of my 50+ aimless questions daily. And even though her workload is so big, she is still always willing to step in and help wherever needed. Sometimes her work goes unnoticed solely b/c it is mostly done on the back-end, so I wanted to make sure she received some recognition for all her work. Go Tiff!
