Properties do not need to have appliances installed at close if they are not “built in” in most cases. Hence, many properties do not need stoves or refrigerators to be eligible for FHA or conventional financing.

There are exceptions if the missing appliance creates a gaping hole in the counter area with wires exposed, as this could be a “health and safety issue.”
