Fascinating We told a few stories in Monday’s blog about clients who got into the market when they were young and built over $1 million in equity.

A friend of ours responded to that blog with a much more extreme story that is worth repeating, both b/c it is fascinating and it imparts a great lesson.

In 1998, he and his wife bought a house in San Francisco for $650,000. Their friends told them they were crazy b/c the house had previously sold for $350,000, only 3 years earlier.

That house is now free and clear and worth over $2.5 million. Two points: (1) Get into the market; and (2) Ignore your friend’s well-meaning advice :).

Final Unrelated Point: We LOVE Hosting Broker Open Houses! We’re good at it, we enjoy it, it’s great marketing, and, most importantly, it helps our Realtor partners. Call or email anytime you’d like help.
