One of our former business coaches used to make us mail out “Evidence of Success” postcards every few months illuminating one of our success stories. We stopped the postcards, so here’s one for the blog:
On a recent Saturday, a Realtor introduced her client to JVM. Our “Mortgage Analyst On Call” contacted the client and pre-approved her on the spot and emailed a pre-approval letter. The Realtor then wrote an offer, and our Mortgage Analyst called the listing agent to tout the strength of the borrower and JVM’s ability to close in 15 days.
And boom! We were in contract. All on a Saturday in the span of a few hours.
A few other reminders/updates:
1. FHA MI is back up to 0.85% for most loans. The reduction was short-lived and all about politics.
2. We highly recommend local escrow companies for short/fast escrows. The logistics of out of town signings often delay things.
3. Many Realtors we work with keep extra CO/smoke detectors and batteries in their cars to make sure they are always present during appraisal inspections.
