A 5th-generation San Franciscan, Dan Baker graduated from the University of California at Santa Barbara with a B.A. in Religious Studies. After graduation, he worked in finance with Cable & Wireless and then Williams-Sonoma, Inc. before embarking on a career in home mortgage finance in January 2003.

In early 2006 he began doing business on a referral only basis. All of his loans have been generated from a trusted network of business partners, previous clients, realtors and friends.

Dan and his wife Jennifer reside in San Francisco.
